Feathered Procession is a study in semi-random fractals and 3D fractal mutation for that allows your imationation to take off.
The final artwork was created by generating the classic Mandelbrot fractal (shown below), then applying multiple semi-random “mutations”. Once an interesting image was developed, the fractal was rendered at a very large size. The render then was loaded into Adobe Photoshop using digital painting and overlays to add depth and textures.
The completed artwork was then optimized for printing on stretched canvas or metallic papers.
